Biometric Access Control
Matrix and eSSL devices for gym entry and attendance with Okfit
Biometric Access Control connects Okfit to door / turnstile / attendance hardware so members and staff can check in with fingerprint, RFID, or face — and so expired memberships can be denied entry.
Two device paths
Matrix (recommended) — attendance + door access; enroll and sync from Okfit
eSSL — attendance recording via ESSL ID (does not control the door the same way Matrix does)
Where in Okfit
Account Settings → Attendance — Request Quote, Configure Matrix Device, device status
Member / Staff / Guest / Admin profiles — Assign Card / Fingerprint / Face, Sync Validity, Revoke, Generate ESSL ID (eSSL)
Membership product — Consider this membership for access control
Typical Matrix flow
1. Get a supported Matrix device (Request Quote if needed)
2. Okfit support integrates the device (Configure Matrix is support-gated)
3. Turn Consider for access control on membership products that should open the door
4. Enroll people from their profile
5. Keep the device powered and online when assigning or renewing memberships
